Living along the gulf coast during hurricane season,  nothing is certain. Bugout bags make sense if you have to evacuate.  The rucksack I had was good but not ideal.  Got to thinking about the large Alice pack I used in Vietnam.  Plenty of volume to carry rations, spare clothing,  survival gear, first aid (military grade) kit, shelter material. This one was not a exact copy of the one I used all those years ago but it's damn close and the pack frame (required) seems good build quality.  I recommend it.
