BLUF, this item is made in China. I haven’t tested it’s ruggedness yet, but it certainly doesn’t feel as sturdy as the item that I received from a CIF (central issuing facility, for you civilians). I think they took the original and reverse engineered it, only with cheaper materials. The frame is pretty close to the original at least. If you’re looking for a pack for heavy weight, you’re better off spending the extra money for the real deal elsewhere.
