These boots have honestly been one of the most comfortable pair of military work boots I have ever worn right out of the box. Because they have the cordura upper at key spots, there's no need to break in any leather. The only real "breaking in" is that is the insole, which, by the way, is built to mimic a cloud! These boots are heavy, but having an incredibly long lasting and rugged sole, that is to be expected. They look incredible, feel awesome all day, and will last for many years of rough use. Highly recommend
